Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7th, 1963, in Edo State in Nigeria. He grew up in a family of faith with loving and dedicated parents. He was the oldest of four children born to the elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the first pioneers of the Assemblies Of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina the matriarch of the Oyakhilome family, who imprinted her divine grace upon her son at an early age.
The LoveWorld ministry is comprised of all members of the family. His brother Reverend Ken is the renowned Pastor of Christ Embassy's Houston, Texas Church and an active member of Christ Embassy Central Executive Council, and his sister, KattyWorghiren, is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry (LMAM), where there are a number of global best-selling gospel artists.
Pastor Chris has two daughters, Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon has decided to follow her father's model of sharing the Gospel of God with the world and is also called CSO She is a talented, award-winning gospel singer and an active member of the LoveWorld Music and Arts family.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome attended Edo College before winning a scholarship to pursue a degree in architecture at Bendel State University, known today as Ambrose Ali University, where the student earned an BSc in Architecture and an honorary Doctor of Science award. He also has an honorary doctorate in divinity from the Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was the location where he felt God calling him to be a minister for the Lord.
